From forgotten fragments and apocryphal stories, txt.ure traces the little-known histories of both pre-Hispanic and 20th-century Mexican design, to present new works grounded in craftsmanship and regional techniques. Founded by the former director of Archivo Diseño y Arquitectura in Mexico City, txt.ure is a curation-based endeavor that draws on Mexican popular design history, reintroducing forgotten masterworks and vernacular classics. txt.ure creates a link between our past and the spaces in which we live now. The preservation and evolution of endangered manufacturing techniques is at the core of the brand, through which we empower local communities and craftspeople.

txt.ure’s ETHICAL INTERACTION MODEL
00.
txt.ure collaborates with ten workshops across Mexico, including the State of Mexico, Michoacán, and Oaxaca. We work alongside master artisans whose expertise represents the highest level of technical execution, ensuring exceptional quality in every piece.
Our relationships are grounded in collaboration, respect, transparency, responsibility, and fair, humane working conditions. For over a decade, we have partnered closely with these families, building long-term collaborations that honor and revalue traditional knowledge, support the growth and continuity of artisanal communities, and encourage new generations to carry these practices forward. Through our work, we fully or partially support these households.

COLLABORATIONAt txt.ure, collaboration is not a transaction but a co-authored journey. Designers, artisans, clients, and communities come together in trust to create meaningful work that bridges cultures, disciplines, and generations.
QUALITYQuality means more than durability. It is integrity, respect, and timeless design.
Every detail honors Mexican craftsmanship, cultural heritage, and the artistry of the hands that shape it.
We believe design is never neutral. Rooted in transparency and cultural respect, our practice empowers communities, preserves ancestral knowledge, and proves that design can drive social change.
